MASTER OF SCIENCE IN MOVEMENT & TRAINING

Movement and Training Science Master’s Program started education within the scope of the Health Sciences Institute in the 2011-2012 academic year in order to train expert Sports Scientists. The duration of the program is 4 semesters, 2 semesters of which are lectures and 2 semesters of which are thesis. The language of the program is Turkish.

Movement and Training Science Master’s program started its graduate program in the 2011-2012 academic year. In addition to 4 compulsory courses in the fall semester and 5 courses in the spring semester, the program can choose other courses in AD.

THE DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY DEGREE IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS

Our Physical Education and Sports PhD program, which was offered to be opened by our university on 05.10.2018, was examined at the Higher Education Executive Board meeting on 30/10/2018 and the proposal was approved. Thus, the Physical Education and Sports Doctorate Program was officially opened on 16.11.2018.

The duration of the program is 8 semesters, of which 4 semesters are lectures and 4 semesters are thesis. The language of the program is Turkish.

Admission and Registration Conditions

It is obligatory to get a score of 60 or more in the Academic Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES), to get a score of at least 60 from the central foreign language exams accepted by YÖK, or to get an equivalent score from the international foreign language exams whose equivalent is accepted.

Prerequisite: To have completed a master’s degree in Physical Education and Sports, Sports-Health Sciences, Movement Training, Psycho-Social Fields in Sports, Sports Management Sciences, Physical Education and Sports Teaching or to have completed a graduate education in Exercise Physiology. To be a graduate of medical school.

 

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN SPORTS MANAGEMENT 

Sports Management Master’s Program started education in the 2023-2024 academic year under the Social Sciences Institute in order to train expert Sports Management Scientists. The duration of the program is 4 semesters, 2 semesters of which are lectures and 2 semesters of which are thesis. The language of the program is Turkish.

Program Profile

Sports Management Master’s program started the graduate program in the 2023-2024 academic year. The program consists of 6 courses in total, 2 of which are compulsory and 4 of which are elective courses in the fall and spring semesters, and students can choose related courses from the department.

Admission and Registration Conditions

Sertificate of licence; having a minimum score of 55 from the relevant branch of the Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Examination or from the exams that are accepted as equivalent, Transcripts; To get at least 65 from the Master’s Science exam.

Rules on Recognition of Prior Learning

According to Dokuz Eylul University Postgraduate Education Regulations, students are not admitted to the programs affiliated to the Institutes by transfer. The application showing the course contents and transcript, the advisor’s suggestion, the opinion of the department chair, based on the petition of the student about which courses should be counted from the minimum course load after he/she enrolls in the same graduate program in Dokuz Eylül, among the courses he/she has taken while enrolled in a graduate program of another university. determined by the decision of the institute board of directors. The courses taken by the students participating in the exchange programs from the host university are considered as elective or compulsory courses.

Qualification Requirements and Rules

The Second Stage (Master’s Degree) Program with Thesis consists of courses (at least 55 ECTS), a seminar (5 ECTS), a specialization course and thesis (60 ECTS) credits. Must successfully complete a total of 120 ECTS credits. Students must have at least 2.50/4.00 Cumulative Grade Point Average. The relevant articles of the current Practice Principles of the Institute of Social Sciences are taken as basis.

 

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN RECREATION

Recreation Master’s Program started education within the scope of the Social Sciences Institute in the 2023-2024 academic year in order to train Recreation experts. The duration of the program is 4 semesters, 2 semesters of which are lectures and 2 semesters of which are thesis. The language of the program is Turkish.
